Never ridden an ATV before? Don’t be
concerned. They’re safe and easy to drive and the Desert Park staff will
show you the ropes on their short training course. In fact you don’t leave
the course for the excursion until you are completely comfortable aboard
your off-road machine. Once you have it figured out, you’re off, bounding
through the desert seeing Los Cabos from a whole new
perspective.
You’ll need to decide between the 3-hour arroyo
excursion and the 5-hour lunch safari. Both will send you through pristine
canyons and provide panoramic views of the desert with the Sea of Cortez
as a backdrop. Don’t forget your camera, there will be plenty of
opportunities for photos. Be sure to have your guide take a few photos of
you as well.
Desert Park provides all safety equipment needed for
the ride. This includes a helmet, goggles and a scarf to keep the dust out
of your face. It is recommended that you wear long pants, a long sleeve
shirt and closed toed shoes. You’ll also want to make sure that any
exposed skin is protected with sunscreen.
